The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has made a chilling allegation against two top government officials. He is accusing the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, and Beatrice Annan of being responsible for his father’s passing. He believes their actions led to a tragic loss that could have been avoided.
According to Mr. Nkansah, he was being held by National Security operatives right when his father was in a critical health crisis. He claims the order for his detention came directly from these two high-ranking Jubilee House appointees. He believes that if he were free, he could have “pulled strings” and made vital decisions to save his father’s life.
The detention reportedly happened after Mr. Nkansah gave a radio interview where he made certain allegations. He says he provided all the information the security teams needed. However, they still kept him in custody. He feels this was a deliberate act by the two officials to keep him away during his family’s most desperate hour.
In an emotional social media post on Monday, March 2, 2026, he stated that the two will “forever have the blood of his father on their hands.” He made it clear that he does not blame the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) officers personally. He believes they were only following instructions from the top.
This is a very heavy and messy situation that has shocked many on social media. It brings up a lot of questions about the use of state power and the timing of these security interventions. Mr. Nkansah ended his post by leaving the two officials to their own consciences. This story is definitely going to spark a massive conversation about accountability and human rights in the country.
