The Teachers’ Fund officially announced the restoration of the Government of Ghana (GOG) Third Party Reference System (TPRS) on February 16, 2026. In a formal notice signed by the Chief Operations Officer, the Fund addressed technical challenges that had previously hindered loan approvals.
The restoration is a milestone, ensuring that teachers paid on the national payroll can once again access credit facilities without the administrative delays experienced earlier in the year.
A critical point emphasized in the notice is the specific requirement for mandate numbers. The Teachers’ Fund clarified that members must utilize the old GOG payslip portal to generate their 11-digit mandate numbers.
The Fund explicitly warned that the 10-digit mandate numbers generated by the newly upgraded 2026 GOG portal are currently not compatible with the existing loan processing software. Using the incorrect portal will result in an failure of the loan application, leading to further delays.
For members with applications already submitted to the Fund Secretariat, the Teachers’ Fund offered reassurance that all files with no pending issues are currently being processed. To avoid any further misinformation, the Fund has directed all District GNAT Secretaries to educate members on the distinction between the two portals.
This directive ensures that teachers are using the 11-digit format required for the TPRS to successfully communicate with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) systems.
The Teachers’ Fund remains dedicated to the financial well-being of its members through transparent and efficient 2026 service delivery. If you are a teacher looking to access your loan benefits, ensure your GOG payslip portal details are active and your One-Time Password (OTP) is verified.
